I have no clue who they are[but they look old by the pic].

What exactly does Messrs mean?

Miss you!

Messrs is the abbreviation for messieurs, which is the plural of monsieur. Like so many things in England it is a formality that seems to have fallen out of popular use.

The four are: John Barry, who wrote or arranged the Bond themes, Eddie Cochran, Adam Faith and Gene Vincent.

The photograph was taken before Cochran's death in mid April 1960 and Adam Faith's appearance suggests that English performers had already moved away from the stereotypical rock 'n' roll quiff and leather look still obviously favoured by both Cochran and Vincent. The Shadows were one of the most successful English bands but they never adopted that style.

Well I remember Adam Faith most, he went into all that leather gear!
And most envious of the homemade bread, Gruff (mutter mutter)

Lawyers still use 'Mssrs' in England.
But they would.
