From Berthon to Bristol

I've always thought this:

rather neat.  However, it appears to have had a prototype:

which was manufactured by the Berthon Boat Co, as I think the firm was known at the time (stupidly, I inadvertently closed the browser before copying the relevant link to the image and information.)  It's rather smart, isn't it?
