A Dog's Life For Me

A pat on the head, some kind words, somewhere warm to sleep, a full belly with a few treats, and better health care than is available 'on the NHS'? I'll be your dog:

Dogs are so smart!

They are indeed and they can't be faulted for loyalty, unlike far too many humans. Have you noticed that the phrase 'a dirty dog' does not describe a dog?

I can think of a few people I'd describe as dirty dogs.

I think that is mostly what I love about animals-their unswerving loyalty. We humans could learn a few lessons from our furry friends.

LOL@ dirty dog. You're so right!

When I had pet rats I was always offended when people would insult them by labelling someone a ' rat' as they are such amazing animals.

How is your menagerie?

All dead I'm afraid.

Spike just seems to have gone to sleep never again to wake. He was curled up quite peacefully, and evidently quite healthy. He's in the freezer at present, with Prudence.

We will buy another, and some more fish too, but we need to be better placed.

Animals ask for nothing and never complain. I hope to be keeping Tamworths by the time I'm sixty.
