Bigotry and Chips, On Both Shoulders

The south east of England, with London, is the only 'region' of the 'United' Kingdom to make a profit, which makes the rest of this accursed 'country', including the surly Celtic fringes, dependent on the industry and ingenuity of those who live there and doubtless accounts for the widespread resentment expressed towards them. Although I live in the north west I am from the south east and I think it 'sporting' to advise outsiders that in the south east of England those who describe all Londoners as 'cockneys' and regard those whose taxes pay for their state subsidised lifestyles as 'idiots' are regarded as ill-informed and ill-mannered fools biting the hand that feeds them.

Many thanks for the link to the article in question:

which does not make the assertions you claim. My experience of cockneys include the cheery bus conductor on the routemaster bus who waited until I was nearly sat down before ringing the bell to signal the driver to accelerate off. This caused me to sprain my wrist and break my watch glass against the pole. The cheery conductor's reaction was to burst out laughing. Gawd bless him. And then my first boss from Acton, when I asked him after my first couple of weeks in the job how I was doing, replied that they hadn't needed to install any handrails. How I love people who are prejudiced against people with disabilities. And the reason why the people I complained to about my boss's attitude: take your pick between stupidity or spite.
btw if the short-termism of the sell your granny financiers hadn't starved manufacturing industry of capital for investment (Germany, Japan, France and the USA like companies that build things), the midlands (which is not the same as the north for the benefit of the majority of people south of Watford) would be the nation's wealth creator, especially since the credit crunch.

I could reply to your points in detail but I cannot be bothered.

That is the last comment from you that I will publish in any of my blogs.
